Cambridge has always been a place well equipped with a good selection of Indian restaurants, especially for our tiny population.  We have even been blessed with a couple of traditional Indian restaurants such as The  Rice Boat and Cocum . Both of which have added that extra dimension to the Indian restaurant scene in Cambridge for anyone thinking of venturing out and trying something other than just the usual spicy slop in a bucket.  That being said, we have still lagged behind larger cities such as London for a diverse selection of Indian establishments.  It looks as though things are about to change however, we have had a bit of a revelation lately in the city since the opening of  Navadhanya  a few months back, offering high end Michelin rated Indian cuisine. The Cambridge Curry Crew gets a blog!

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Simon and I am from the fine city of Cambridge. Anyone who knows me will tell you I love a good curry. Indian food for me is by far the most delicious and diverse food around. It is exciting, great value for the quality you get and and has so many dimensions to it. I love my food spicy and that is something which Indian food does so well. My favourite dish has to the chicken tikka vindaloo, it has the perfect balance of flavour and heat. I usually accompany it with some saag aloo and poppadoms. I could eat mango chutney and lime pickle forever! Indian food is great for vegetarians too, as most Indians are vegetarians themselves, which works out well  for a lot of my friends as they are vegetarians too. I love the way that Indian food represents the fantastic integration of Indian culture in to British society over the years. Prana - The new kid on the block!

As you may or may not remember the other week I noticed a new Indian restaurant, which opened on Mill Rd. I was incredibly relieved as Mill Rd's Indian scene has been on the decline as of late, with three shutting down in the past year or so. Not only that, but numerous people have mentioned that the quality has been declining too. One of our more recent reviews of Golden Curry has even confirmed this. The restaurant in question today is Prana. Can it save Mill Rd from curry stagnation? Well tonight I found out! The first thing you notice about the restaurant is how easy it is to miss while walking down the street. The place looks so tiny. Don't let that deceive you though, as its deceptively large.
