A little while back I mentioned that I was working on a little side project with a friend to tackle the appalling disabled access in our area.

One of my best friends is currently on a crusade fighting for better wheelchair access around Cambridge. It would mean a lot to him (and me) if you could check out his blog and support him in his fight!
 I think its a fantastic piece of work and he has been working damn hard on it over the past few months. It is great for highlighting the every day struggle of being in a wheel chair and really makes you appreciate how we take being able bodies for granted every day. 

The blog really highlights how simple things like going for a meal or for a coffee can actually be a real challenge in some of our biggest high street names. He has done it in a way which really makes you see what it can be like through his own eyes. I personally feel poor wheelchair access should be ancient history in this day and age and I am sure after reading this you will agree!

Cam Spice - Great Eversden

Just when I think i've have tried every Indian restaurant in the Cambridge area, another one pops up!  Not that I am complaining! Keep em coming I say! This afternoon, I had the pleasure of going to the quaint village of Great Eversden to try one of the newest Indian restaurants around, Cam Spice (The Hoops pub).   The restaurant is modern yet set in an old English back drop. The wooden beams along the wall and ceiling are a charming touch.  There is a stunning bar at the entrance which is complimented by some water bubble glass across the room, reminiscent of Indians like the  Rang Mohol  &  Curry Palace .  Everything is presented well and there is a lot of windows which let in a lot of light too.  The staff were great from the very start and warmly greeted us from the moment we entered. Hitting Brick Lane! - Tayyabs!

The Cambridge Curry Crew are hitting Brick Lane tomorrow night - and boy are we excited!  We shall be partaking on the famous Tayyabs in Whitechapel. Famous for its Pakistani cuisine and phenomenal prices!  Our weekend does not end there though, oh no. We will be hitting the Kohinoor back in Cambridge the next day to get us one step closer to finishing off our Mill Road journey!  I don't think my digestive system will be thanking me on the Monday morning but business is business! Tandoori Palace - Histon Road.

After a heavy weekend dining at The Sultan in St Ives  and  The Regency Club in London , we decided to make it a weekend trio by hitting one of the most overlooked Indian restaurants in Cambridge - The Tandoori Palace. Located on Histon Road, surrounded by some of the cream of Cambridge Indian dining, the Tandoori Palace is often forgotten about as it lacks the usual gimmick or neon sign which seems to be necessary to get noticed now days.   We decided to head in on a Sunday afternoon, still full from my trip to  The Regency Club. We were greeted and shown to a table. The place was empty at the time but the place looked nice.
